I want to be so close to You

As light is to its flame

As a flower is to its stem

As a cloud is to its sky

Make decisions with this knowledge

You are my morning

You are my day

But you are also my evening

And my night

You encompass everything

And I am encompassed in You

Through Jesus and the Holy Spirit

We are one

The poems in the book largely depict my own inner journey. I started writing when I was doing work placement at Sofia parish in 2019, when I was asked to write something for the sharing during a walk.

The idea behind the book is primarily recognition; in feeling trust, worry, joy, sorrow, a desire to move forward, a hope for a good life, doing good and serving God. It is also intended as inspiration for your own inner journey.

The poems can be used for personal reading and reflection, open up for conversation during walks, in confirmation classes, in book clubs, during church services, in small groups, during meditation or similar.
