Review of the newspaper Budbäraren

A book of poetry can easily become clichéd, pretentious, or, in the worst case, flat. Not this one. I am pleasantly surprised with each page I read. Many of the poems rhyme, but they don't feel contrived; on the contrary, the language plays itself out like a babbling brook. The texts are both light and deep. After reading the book, I feel it is a good companion on a journey, both a physical one and life's journey. Susanne suggests that the book be used in church services or confirmations, which I also think is appropriate. The white cover has a simple illustration on the front that I interpret as a door, an arch, a window, or a mirror – any of which would suit the theme. Susanne has a knack for speaking truthfully and genuinely about life, and I believe we will be reading more from her in the future.

The poetry collection "Slå följe med Gud"

"Written in free verse with rhythm and rhyme, you succeed admirably. You articulate a journey to God and portray the difficult with honest hopefulness and light. Challenging to recite at times but always well thought out. A good balance between poetry and content. A welcome contribution to the array of Christian devotional literature, regardless of age."
